will recieve a $25.00 discount. Multiple Mare Discounts Each added mare over the original mare will recieve an additional $50.00 discount. Our multiple mare discount will escalate for each additional mare so that the tenth mare is FREE! Breeder's Incentive Discounts If you are the original breeder who competes any Hot Shot offspring, you will recieve a $25.00 discount off a future breeding for each USDF or USEF recognized class that this offspring wins First place. For each additional entry in the class over 5 (five) entries, you will recieve a $10.00 bonus. Any offspring placing in large classes will be given consideration for a $15.00 discount at our discretion.This offer applies ONLY to offspring that have been lifetime registered with the USEF and USDF and the credits MAY BE TRANSFERRED to another person (with written permission) , if desired. |
Click here for Breeding Contract Successful Breeding Good communication between you, your vet and Magic Rose Farm is essential. After receiving your booking fee and signed contract, you will be included in the booking list for the current season. Your mare must have a current, clean uterine culture and a uterine biopsy may be suggested. Booking fees and a semen shipping deposit of $200 must be received prior to any shipment. Be sure to check Hot Shot's Competition Schedule for availability, some of the shows listed are for offspring only. Please contact the farm immediately if you think there might be a conflict, so that we may resolve it in a manner best for your mare. Dr. Phillip Hunt, Equine Reproduction Specialist, provides veterinary services for Magic Rose Farm. Dr. Hunt received his Masters degree from Drexel University's College of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences in 1978 and earned his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. After 4 years of general equine practice in New Jersey, Dr. Hunt returned to the University of Pennsylvania and completed a residency in reproduction achieving board certification from the American College of Theriogenologists in 1988. He has specialized in equine reproduction since. ALL COLLECTIONS REQUIRE 24 HOUR NOTICE Transported Semen Our goal is to provide the best service possible for you, your mare and your vet. When your mare comes into heat, you or your vet must call Magic Rose Farm to give us advance notice of pending shipment. In addition, your vet must inform us of the exact day you'll need shipment (48 hours notice required for Federal Express, 24 hours for airlines). Magic Rose Farm will collect and ship via airline or Federal Express. You must pick up and deliver the container to your vet, who will inseminate your mare on the day of shipment. Your vet must check your mare until she ovulates or it's determined that you need another shipment for that heat period. Your mare must be examined at 16-18 days post-insemination with an ultrasound. All remaining fees are due upon positive pregnancy check. Our goal, like yours, is a healthy foal. Artificial Insemination on Farm All arrangements must be made in advance. Your mare must arrive with a current, clean uterine culture and health record. She must be recently wormed and current with all shots. In addition, we ask that you please remove her back shoes as a safety precaution. Magic Rose Farm will bill you for board and blacksmith. Veterinarian expenses will be billed separately by the vet clinic. All expenses must be paid before your mare can be released. We advise that your mare be kept on the breeding farm until she is pronounced in foal. Live Cover Hot Shot is not available for live cover. Live Healthy Foal Guarantee We want you to be happy and prosperous with your Hot Shot foal. IF your foal dies FOR ANY REASON before his 30 day birthday, or is unhealthy at 30 days old and does not recover, we will rebreed your mare for the current season with NO booking fee charge.
